It is the time of the year again as a new batch at Don Bosco Tech (Jumaikla) is officially being welcomed into the campus, encompassing the surrounding with enthusiasm and joy. The batches of ISMO and Helper Electrician was formally inaugurated at Don Bosco Tech Campus (Jumaikela) on September 4, 2019. The program was attended by 74 young aspirants.  The dignitaries present at the function included Mr. Wakaish Alam (State Coordinator), Fr. James Jainiwas (Centre Head), Fr. Livens (Principal, Don Bosco English Medium School), Fr. Pratap, Fr. Simon, Sr.Mery Superior, Sr. Cecilia, faculties of Don Bosco Tech Centre faculty, nuns and priests of Jumaikela.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome speech by the master of ceremony. The dignitaries on the dais lighted the ceremonial lamp followed by the recital of prayer. Flower bouquets were presented to the Chief Guest and members present on the dais. The Fr. James formally welcomed the incoming students to the Centre wishing them a pleasant stay during training. He addressed the gathering mentioning the importance that ‘choices’ play in one’s life and commended everyone for making the right choice by coming to Don Bosco Tech. He encouraged them to take risks and not be afraid of failures as failures are a part of life. In fact, a person learns far more from their failures rather than their success. “Take the crucial learnings from the failures. Be a continuous learner, reinvent yourself in this ever-changing world”, he said emphatically.

Mr. Wakais Alam stressed on the importance of thinking ahead of times and planning for inexistent technologies in the present time itself, as it is these advanced technologies that would be in control of many essential areas in the near future. The main focus of his talk was on being innovative and looking ahead into the future.

Trainees felt comfortable at the Centre with the welcoming gesture they received.  Their confidence to learn was affirmed. The eagerness and excitement to get down to some serious training were apparent in everyone. Finally, all the participants were thanked for their valuable presence. The function ended by 12:15 PM in the noon with the distribution of refreshment to all present.
